UNLOCKING POTENTIAL
Violin education goes beyond learning an instrument. My students not only develop their musical skills, but also enhance cognitive abilities, discipline, and creativity. Research indicates that exposure to classical music fosters intellectual development, while daily practice cultivates discipline and enhances cognitive connectivity. Remarkably, my violin students consistently excel academically, echoing Einstein's sentiment that music fuels unconventional thinking.
MY LIFE SYMPHONY
MEET KASANDRA
Music has been an integral part of my life, bringing immense joy for over 50 years. My journey with the viola commenced at the age of nine in public school, where initial struggles paved the path for a deeper understanding of the learning process. This firsthand experience enriches my teaching approach, emphasizing gradual progression and foundational mastery.
My educational pursuits led me to UC Berkeley, followed by certification in the Suzuki method. Immersion in Matsumoto, Japan, under Dr. Suzuki's guidance, illuminated the profound joy inherent in his teaching philosophy.
Currently, I'm honored to collaborate with Music in the Mountains, imparting musical education within charter schools and nurturing the talents of the next generation through coaching with the Music in the Mountains Youth Orchestra (MIMYO).
